A meeting between China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Japanese colleague on the sidelines of ASEAN activities in Cambodia has been postponed, according to the Chinese foreign ministry on Thursday.

Hua Chunying, a spokesman for the ministry, stated at a routine media briefing that the Chinese side is extremely disappointed with the joint statement released by the Group of Seven countries about Taiwan.

On Wednesday, the G7 foreign ministers, including Japan, urged China to put an end to the conflict in the Taiwan Strait through peaceful means.
